Arctic Child - An Autobiography
I am proud to present that the product of my NaNoWriMo 2018 challenge, Arctic Child, is now available for purchase across all of Amazon's platforms. It has been an interesting journey, indeed, writing about my own life instead of the lives of fictional characters who take up residence within my mind.
Arctic Child will be one of a few books I will be writing based upon peoples' lives and I must admit to being excited about how my writing career will unfold. It has definitely taken a journey I didn't expect with people asking if I might be interested in writing about aspects of their lives, in hopes that their life story may inspire others who struggle.
I won't keep you any longer. Please feel free to visit Arctic Child's page by clicking here so you can read about the book, read a preview and find the links to where the book can be purchased.
Who Am I?
My name is Norma Budden. I'm a Canadian author who makes my home in Arctic Canada. I have lived in the Arctic for almost 25 years working with The North West Company. I've worn many hats throughout my career but really look forward to the evening hours when I can be creative and see what arises out of pure imagination and inspiration. The end result: the stories you will find here - stories which have written themselves upon my heart and soul.
At this time, feel free to take a look at the books and stories featured here at Norma's Books. They cover a wide range of subject matter which is sure to be enjoyable for readers of crime, mystery, romance and suspense. Over time, there will be more titles inspired by true events.
Most importantly, thank you so much for visiting! You have so many things in your life to occupy your time and attention. It means a lot that you took a few minutes out of your day to see what's going on in mine.

Wait A Minute! I Read, Too!
Personally, there is equal enjoyment between bringing my own characters to life and reading the characters others have created, especially if the genres involve thrillers with crossovers between mystery, crime, suspense, and contemporary romance. That being said, it leaves me with a wide selection of books to read, both in the indie and traditional markets.
However, being an independent author, I tend to support authors like myself, spreading the word about the books I enjoy most. I created a website to feature indie books I've read, sharing my thoughts about them. I've even interviewed a few authors behind the titles. As time progressed, I added a few reviews of traditionally published authors. If you are interested in checking out these titles, I would encourage you to visit Budden Book Reviews. I hope you'll join me there.
